Obituary

Ralph J. Yavarone of 924-1 Quinnipiac Ave. New Haven died December 19, 2009 in the Hospital of St. Raphael. He was the husband of the late Esther Vitagliano Yavarone. Ralph was born in Manhattan, NY May 27, 1913 son of the late Albert and Grace Garbellano Yavarone. He was a graduate of St. Ann's Academy class of 1932 and later attended Fordham University. Ralph worked for Railway Express Agency and retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1981. He is the father of Grace (Alex) Galli, Albert (Rita) Yavarone, and Louis (Ann Marie) Yavarone. Brother of the late Josephine Liparoulo, Mary Barletta, and Alfred Yavarone. He is also survived by 8 loving grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the IOVANNE FUNERAL HOME INC. 11 Wooster Place Tuesday morning at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael's Church at 10am. Burial in East Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Monday from 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude's Place Memphis, TN 38105.
